Domain Registration

Domain Registration is the process of registering a domain name so that it can be used on the internet. The parent body that controls the overall aspects of the domain names is called ICANN.

Registrars are the individuals or the companies who register a domain name.

Registry operators maintain the record of domain registrants and the DNS settings.

Registrars are accredited by the registry and ICANN to take orders for domain names from the registrants.
