RS-232 Serial Bus is a protocol that has been developed to send and receive data between the sender and receiver devices. It is a bidirectional protocol.
The sender sends data to the receiver in a serial way, which is essentially sending data, one bit at a time and can be seen as the opposite of sending multiple data streams via parallel connections.
